How the safe works

  1. The code has 2 digits, 00 to 99: you pick it yourself on the grid. One attempt costs 150,000 SEECAT. Any wallet can play: it signs one text message first, no transaction and no fees.
  2. Every code tried in this safe is shown on the grid for everyone. A code can be tried only once.
  3. A failed attempt always gets the same answer: “The safe didn't open”. The first wallet to name the code takes the whole bank.
  4. The winner receives the value of the Solana Seeker phone in USDC, not the phone itself. Purchasing and shipping the device would require revealing the winner’s identity, and Solana Mobile does not deliver to certain countries.
  5. A late attempt is refunded minus the token's transfer fee. Transfers not made through this site are not attempts and are not processed automatically.
  6. When the safe opens, the seed and the code are published, so anyone can check that the code was picked by these rules.

How to verify

Before the first attempt, the safe shows the SHA-256 hash of its seed. When the safe opens, the seed is published: its SHA-256 must equal that hash. The candidates are all codes not named in previous attempts, in ascending order; the code is the candidate at the index given by the first 8 bytes of SHA-256(seed + "code"), interpreted as a number, modulo the number of candidates. Every opened safe links to its seed, attempts and transactions.
