How the safe works
- The code has 2 digits, 00 to 99: you pick it yourself on the grid. One attempt costs 30,000 SEECAT. Any wallet can play: it signs one text message first, no transaction and no fees.
- Every code tried in this safe is shown on the grid for everyone. A code can be tried only once.
- A failed attempt always gets the same answer: “The safe didn't open”. The first wallet to name the code takes the whole bank.
- 50% of every attempt goes to this safe's bank, about 50% to buyback and burn.
- A late attempt is refunded minus the token's transfer fee. Transfers not made through this site are not attempts and are not processed automatically.
- When the safe opens, the seed and the code are published, so anyone can check that the code was picked by these rules.
Where every attempt goes
50% to this safe's bank. The prize grows with every attempt.
About 50% to buyback and burn. These SEECAT are burned for good when the safe opens.
$SEECAT has a transfer fee that goes to holders: the shares are counted from what reaches the safe.
How to verify
Before the first attempt, the safe shows the SHA-256 hash of its seed. When the safe opens, the seed is published: its SHA-256 must equal that hash. The candidates are all codes not named in previous attempts, in ascending order; the code is the candidate at the index given by the first 8 bytes of SHA-256(seed + "code"), interpreted as a number, modulo the number of candidates. Every opened safe links to its seed, attempts and transactions.
